What to Expect After Treatment
Neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport work to soften some of the facial wrinkles (rhytids) that are caused by repetitive muscle motion. These injections temporarily weaken the treated muscles and can be used to treat forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, to soften the fine lines around the mouth, and soften neck bands.
Patients experience the full effects in about 7 to 10 days and the results generally last for 3 to 4 months. Minimal swelling and bruising can occasionally occur. It is recommended that immediately after the treatment, the head stay elevated for three hours and that patients avoid massaging the treated area or exercising for up to 12 hours.
How much do Botox and Dysport Cost?
After meeting with Universal Aesthetics professional a mutual decision is made for for the appropriate areas of treatment. The cost will depend on the areas to be treated and all costs will be reviewed during your consultation.
Are you a good candidate for injections?
You may consider botulinum toxin injections for cosmetic reasons if you are developing lines and wrinkles on your face due to common facial movements. Depending on genetics, lines can appear on the face as early as your late twenties to as late as your early forties. If you are prone to developing lines and to making facial expressions that lead to wrinkles, your plastic surgeon may also recommend using botulinum toxin as a preventative measure.
If you are in good general health, have a positive attitude and realistic expectations, you are most likely a good candidate for this procedure.
At Universal Aesthetics, we strive to provide natural results to give you a refreshed look, while avoiding an “overdone” or “frozen” appearance, and while using the smallest number of units necessary to achieve your desired results.
